In 1991 Pertronic won a substantial contract with Telecom New Zealand to develop and manufacture equipment for the National Alarm Transport System (ATS ). This multi-million dollar contract enabled Pertronic Industries to participate in New Zealand's largest and most technically advanced fire alarm reporting systems, utilising the Company's communications and systems expertise. This contract encompassed the development of data-over-voice communication equipment connected to fire panels by RS485 signalling devices.
The Company has continued to concentrate on developing and manufacturing a comprehensive range of automatic fire alarm panels and control indicating equipment.
