After a number of years, a massive focused effort, and a not inconsiderable amount of money, Pertronic is now able to sell our flagship F220 fire panel in the United States.
The final approval from UL Standards and Engagement (the body that certifies fire panels and numerous other products to ensure they meet American standards) came through a couple of weeks ago.
The Pertronic Wingate headquarters took the opportunity, and BBQ, to thank our U.S. colleagues Keith Bowler, Ray Krickmier and Doug Woosley who have carried out the Stateside heavy lifting.
They are pictured with Pertronic founder and managing director David Percy, alongside a pallet of 14 fire panels and mimics.
A large research and development effort has been applied to adapting New Zealand and Australian fire panel standards to meet American requirements, while Keith, Ray and Doug have quietly contacted former fire engineer and consultant colleagues to alert them to the availability of Pertronic's products.
This first shipment signals a new era and new possibilities for Pertronic. It also signals that another increase in production will be required to service the U.S. market - given that many of its individual states are larger than the combined Australia/New Zealand market.
As a technology-driven company Pertronic is delighted to, at last, ship what will be the first of many products to the 'Land of Opportunity'.
