Usually, when saying goodbye to someone who has been with a company for 35 years, it would be a final farewell.
Not so though for Toni Edmondson, (pictured above with founder and managing director David Percy) who has been an integral part of Pertronic Industries since shifting from Christchurch to Wellington as employee number seven.
Much of her job then was in Printed Circuit Board assembly which required hand-soldering
But Toni isn’t saying bon voyage.
Having had a number of roles across the years (including prototype building at one stage), she eventually became head of stores, despatch and customer support in her position as Warehouse Administrator.
Toni takes on a similar function in the about-to-be opened Christchurch office as Pertronic South Island Warehouse Administrator.
“Over the years I’ve developed some really good friendships,” she says. “Going back home is going to be completely different, but it will be a great challenge.”
We wish her the best as Pertronic grows its service in the South Island.
