The 2025 FireNZ Conference and Tradeshow has finished.
Commonly called the FireShow, the event is annually staged in different cities throughout New Zealand. This year it was held at Auckand's Viaduct Event's Centre from October 7-9.
Pertronic Industries took the opportunity to showcase our flagship F220 fire panel which meets the NZS 4512:2021 standards.
Pictured in the above photo from left to right is Darryl Ingham, Craig Barnett, and Pertronic founder and managing director, David Percy.
They and other Auckland-based Pertronic personnel also took the opportunity to discuss the Fireray Hub Reflective smoke detection system. This uses a reflected infrared beam to constantly monitor for smoke particles. It is especially useful in large, high, open areas, where the installation of point-type smoke detectors would be both prohibitively expensive and difficult to achieve.
The three days brings together fire consultants, engineers, fire detection and suppression equipment installers and contractors, as well as the latest in fire prevention innovations.
Among the topics explored in presentations and seminars was bush fire prevention and fighting, passive fire protection methods, and methodologies to prevent runaway fires in lithium battery storage.
The 2026 FireShow is to be held in Christchurch.
